Choosing the right photography session can feel overwhelming, especially with multiple options available. At Lightkeeper Photography, I offer three main types of sessions to suit different needs and preferences: Full Sessions, Sunset Mini Sessions, and Mini Sessions. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide which is best for you.

A Full Session is the ultimate experience, perfect for families who want a relaxed, storytelling-style shoot with plenty of time to capture genuine connections and a variety of images.

  • Duration: 60-90 minutes
  • Location: Your choice (beach, forest, home – I also have some favourite locations in Hawkes Bay including Te-Mata Peak and Ocean Beach which I can suggest!)
  • Ideal for: Families who want a personalized experience, maternity shoots, newborn sessions (offered exclusively as Full Sessions), and couples looking for an intimate storytelling session. Newborn Sessions are ONLY Full Sessions 🙂 These are THE ONLY sessions available on Weekends due to popularity!

Which Session is Right for You?

  • If you want the full experience, plenty of time, access to a client wardrobe, and a gallery full of photos, a Full Session is your best choice.
  • If you love dreamy golden light, and can make a weeknight work, but want a slightly longer mini session with wardrobe options, a Sunset Mini Session is perfect.
  • If you need a handful of beautiful images in a quick and efficient session without wardrobe access, a Mini Session is a great fit.

No matter which session you choose, my goal is to create beautiful, timeless images that capture your family’s love and connection. If you have any questions or need help deciding, feel free to reach out—I’d love to help you choose the right session for your family!
