There’s something pretty special about turning something you love into a business.

Creating work you’re proud of, connecting with people, and contributing to your family through something that genuinely lights you up. That’s the dream, isn’t it?

But it’s incredibly easy for a creative business to become all-consuming. Working all hours, second-guessing yourself, answering emails at night and wondering why you’re making less than minimum wage for the hours you’re putting in.

I know, because I’ve been there.

Four years in business, two kids, hundreds of shoots, plenty of mistakes, A LOT of education and a ridiculous amount of trial and error later, I’ve learnt that building a sustainable photography business is about so much more than taking better photos.

It’s about building a business around the life you actually want to live.

Better systems. Better workflows. Confidence behind the camera. And knowing where your time is best spent.

I’m still learning too. There’s no magic formula for perfect balance, but I’ve learnt a hell of a lot along the way, and I’m genuinely happy to share it.

No gatekeeping. No pretending I have it all figured out. Just honest, practical support from someone who’s still in the trenches doing it herself.
